International Programs
At every study level, Greece can provide you with a high quality education and equip you with the theoretical and practical skills that will enable you to achieve your academic goals and thrive in your professional career. Greek Higher Education is becoming more extrovert and Greek universities offer more and more international programs. Currently, there are 4 English-taught Bachelor’s degrees:
- BA Program in the Archaeology, History and Literature of Ancient Greece at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens
- Medical Degree at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki
- Medical Degree at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens
- International Program in Medicine at the University of Crete
Over 10 Bachelor’s programs are expected to be launched in September 2023.
Tuition fees:
Studying for an international Bachelor in Greece is a cost-effective solution. English-taught programs tuition fees range from 5,000 – 13,000 EUR per year.

Taught in Greek
Greece has 24 universities, funded and accredited by the Greek state, which offer more than 1,000 undergraduate programs in Greek, covering the whole spectrum of subject areas.
The duration of undergraduate programs for most disciplines is 4 years but there are programs in engineering, dentistry, pharmacology, agronomics, forestry, and fine arts, with a duration of 5 years, and medicine with a duration of 6 years. These credits are accumulative and transferable under the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS).
How to apply?
Foreign students can fall into the special categories of candidates that can be admitted to Higher Education in Greece, on condition that neither the candidates themselves nor their parents have the Greek nationality or citizenship. Those candidates submit their documents to the Ministry of National Education and Religious Affairs and fill in the candidate’s application entry form, choosing the Faculties and Departments of their preference.

Application Procedure
Gather all documents needed, as described in the above document. Get an Apostille Convention stamp for all the documents from the competent authorities of your country. Please make sure that your country is a member of the Hague Convention. Degrees, certifications and certificates that are issued in countries that have been contracted to the Hague Convention but Greece has objected to their contraction such as Uzbekistan, Mongolia, Peru, Tunisia, Kyrgyzstan, and the Philippines must be validated for the signature authenticity of the undersigned person by a Greek diplomatic authority abroad. The validation should be on the original document.
Get official approval of these documents from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Greek embassy of your country.
Get your documents translated in Greek using the Translation Service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or a lawyer certified for translations.
Certify your documents in the embassy of your Country in Greece.
After gathering of all the documents you can visit the website of the Ministry of education to submit your registration electronically. The application procedure for admission to higher education in Greece of foreigners of non-Greek origin is supported electronically by an information system, which becomes available during the specified dates. The URL for the information system is : https://exams-foreigner.it.minedu.gov.gr Period of electronic submission of the application – entry form, for the academic year 2023-2024: Monday, July 10th, 2023 – Sunday, July 16th, 2023. AFTER THE DEADLINE, THE ELECTRONIC SYSTEM IS LOCKED AND NO APPLICATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED.
Send all the documents to the address specified at the Ministry of Education website after the application.
Wait for the results. Usually the date of announcement is around late August. Results are announced at the website of the Ministry of Education. Applicants can see their results by entering their Candidate Code and their initials (Surname, Name, Father’s name and Mother’s name). Please keep visiting the website and register to our newsletter and our Facebook group to update your information for the forthcoming academic year (2024 – 2025).
After Acceptance Procedure
Once you have been accepted you need to contact the equivalent secretary of the department of your University which will provide you with more information about your Bachelor and with the documents required for the obtention of your student VISA.
